Princess Ballerina
Foe ages 3-4: Begin the exciting journey into dance with fun and fundamentals! This class explores expressive movement, songs, and imaginative games. Weekly classes are themed to encourage the imagination and creativity of the young dancer. Students receive an introduction to ballet concepts, tumbling, rhythm and coordination skills.
Ballet/Tap
For Age 5-6: Continuing with the studio philosophy of fun and fundamentals, Ballet/Tap offers a strong foundation in ballet concepts, rhythm, and technique, while still encouraging imagination and creativity. The class time is divided in half with part ballet and part of tap. The classroom environment becomes more structured with Ballet/Tap and introduces the foundation of all forms of dance.
Ballet
Classical ballet consisting of barre, center work, combinations and variations. The class stresses proper body alignment, technique and control. Ballet is the back bone of all forms of dance.
Tap/Jazz/Lyrical
For age 6 and up: This class exposes the dancer to three different forms of dance. A portion of class is spent in jazz, an exciting form of dance that develops technique, coordination, and strength through warm-up, isolation, progressions and combinations. Some class time is spent on lyrical, an emotionally expressive form of dance, which uses the lyrics of the music to influence the movement of the body. Finally tap, progressions and rhythmical combination of tap sound coinciding to music. The most rhythmic of all dance forms. Students explore technique in more depth, as well as various dance styles and strong musicality.
Theater Dance
This class incorporates music and movement from the Broadway stages of yesterday and today. Working on jazz styles influenced by the great theater and musical choreographers of our times.
Hip Hop
Inspired by the music of today and the movements of breakdancing and street funk, as well as the technical training of dance. The warm-up is cardiovascular and the entire class is high energy focusing on isolations and freestyle.
